describe your pain

The experience of pain is just about as unique as each individual. My day job involves encountering a lot of people who are in pain, sadly some of whom are in pain for unknown reasons. the ambiguity of pain not only leaves one in anguish and despair, but also allows ones imagination to run loose (and not in a good way!).

This series illustrates some descriptions of pain I have heard over the years. In no way am I trying to minimize, mock, or ridicule people who are suffering. They are merely an expression of some interactions I have had with patients. Out of respect to them, these illustrations are not for sale.
